Through generous funding provided by the National Science Foundation, the University of Wisconsin MRSEC hosts two undergraduate summer research programs.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) and the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) host the following Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs: REU in Nanotechnology, REU in Chemistry and Chemical and Biological Engineering, REU in The Chemistry of Materials of Renewable Energy. This year, the programs will run from May 2014 to August 2014 (exact dates forthcoming). Participants will spend 10 weeks conducting research in an area of engineering, physics, chemistry, science education or public policy. Students will also be exposed to other research available on campus through seminars, tours and academic and social events.
