REU Programs

Through generous funding provided by the National Science Foundation, the University of Wisconsin NSEC hosts two undergraduate summer research programs.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) and the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) host the following Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs: REU in NanotechnologyREU in Chemistry and Chemical and Biological EngineeringREU in The Chemistry of Materials of Renewable Energy. The programs will run annually from May to August (exact dates forthcoming). Participants will spend 10 weeks conducting research in an area of engineering, physics, chemistry, science education or public policy. Students will also be exposed to other research available on campus through seminars, tours and academic and social events.
